Oakland is the home of the Oakland Raiders! That’s right the 1977 and 1981 Super Bowl Champion Raiders. Players like Marcus Allen, Jim Plunkett,  Jack Tatum, Ken Stabler are a few legends Oaklander’s pay tribute to our sleep.

Oakland is also the home of the 5 time World Series Champion the Oakland A’s. That’s right! Players like Reggie Jackson- The Original Mr. October, Rollie Fingers and Vida Blue won three World Series back to back to back from 1972, 1973 and 1974. The Oakland A’s would win the World Series again in 1988 and 1989.  In 2012, the Oakland A’s showed some of that great past in the present by becoming this years West Division champs.

Oakland is also the home The Golden State Warriors! Players like Hall of Famer Rick Barry and even-time All-Star and the first player in NBA history to record an official quadruple-double, Nate Thurman were Warriors. Under the leadership of Al Attles, The Golden State Warriors scored an NBA championship in 1974-1975 making Al Attles the second African American coach to win an NBA title.
